Hello Everyone–
The Portland Community Free Clinic is open with our regular schedule, effective June 1st. Thank you to everyone who offered support during the difficult months of April and May. We are glad to be back on track, providing care to adults in the southern Maine community who do not have health insurance. The clinic is staffed by nurses and administrative staff during the day (9 am to 5 pm). Clinics are held in the evening (starting at 6 pm), Thursday afternoon (1 to 3 pm) and an occasional Friday morning.
f you are a patient of the PCFC and need an appointment, prescription refill, or something else, please call 874-8982. If we don’t answer the phone immediately, leave a message and someone will get back to you promptly. If you would like to become a patient at the clinic, and meet our criteria, please call so we may do an intake on the phone. If you qualify for services, we will schedule for an appointment.
Please remember that the PCFC is not a walk-in clinic. Patients are seen by appointment only. Also note that at this time, the front door to the PCFC is locked. If you are waiting outside, please ring the bell or call us at 874-8982 and someone will come and let you in.
We are carefully screening people for corona virus symptoms: fever, cough, and shortness of breath before we schedule an appointment. We do not have the capacity to test people for COVID-19 at the PCFC although we can refer people to testing sites in the greater Portland area. If you have fever, cough, or shortness of breath, we will not be able to see you at the PCFC at the present time. Once your symptoms resolve, give us a call and we can schedule you for an appointment.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during this challenging time. Thank you for your support of the PCFC.

Coordinator, PCFC
