Please consider making a donation to benefit the Portland Community Free Clinic (PCFC).
Since 1993, the PCFC has provided high quality healthcare at no cost to uninsured adults. Maine is one of two states with an increase in the number of uninsured adults since 2014 and there is no indication that this will change any time soon. With a cadre of volunteers and a small core of paid staff, the clinic sees 450 to 500 patients in approximately 1600 patient visits, averting close to $2 million in uncompensated health care costs in the community while operating with an annual budget of approximately $125,000.
The Friends, a 501(c)3 organization, was established in 2012 to provide financial support to the PCFC. We have a number of fundraising events throughout the year, including a group climb up Mt. Katahdin, a golf tournament, and online auction.
Individual donations from people like you are critically important to our mission. We have an option for a subscription donation, which makes your money go further, or a traditional one-time donation. Our online donation form is secure; no credit card information is recorded, once the transaction is complete.
